The whole goal of this site is to improve the quality of life of our readers and ourselves. Mainly focusing on filling our lives with unique and enriching experiences. Which on their own should improve health, hapiness and overall fitness. But we’ve also spent some time outlining other ways to stay healthy and happy.
Why We Get Off Track
We all have busy lives. Jobs, family obligations, maybe school, and trying to fit in exercise and a social life. Over the years we start to ware down and get complacent. We take joy in the little pleasures like food and look for ways to escape like television, movies, video games and the internet, instead of doing the enriching things in life. The more we focus on the little pleasures in life the further the bigger ones get out of reach.
This site is full of ways to jump start your battery and get back out there doing the activities you should be and want to be doing but aren’t. Many times they are a whole lot harder than sitting on the couch but that much more enriching.
Part of the overall plan is to ween yourself off the junk food diet and make exercise something you want to do and make time for.
Diet
No matter how much you exercise do, sometime you simply can’t get rid of the fat. We don’t think losing weight is a reasonable goal for anyone but improving your diet is, and can help shade those extra pounds.
Lazy American is on the Paleo Diet and so far has had pretty good success with it.

Training
We are currently working on a training section that will help couch potatoes prepare themselves for all kinds of activities of varying difficulty levels. Anything from running a 5k mud run to backpacking across country.
