Whatever it takes to get you motivated and out doing something is what you should be doing. If mowing the lawn is the only outdoor activity you participate in, it is something, but a little short of where you should be shooting for.

One of the goal of this site, if you haven’t noticed, is finding ways to make life better by doing more enriching activities, being active, and trying new experiences.

Adventures

Adventures don’t have to take place in exotic places or cost thousands of dollars, just look at our homegrown adventures section for examples of stuff you can do close to home. You also don’t have to start out with big adventures. Take it slow and build up to the bigger stuff.

We have a whole section on obstacle races but there are so many other ways to stay fit like adventuring racing, survival training, kayaking, trail running, climbing, backpacking, just to name a few.

Fitness

Lots of us want to get in shape but don’t find activities we can enjoy which will allow us to do it. Diets aren’t fun. Going to the gym and jogging on the tredmill isn’t very fun either. If you can come up with adventurous goals to aspire for that you actually want to do, your chance of getting in shape are that much better. Making a fun event your goal is so much more attainable and your overall fitness level will improve as a byproduct of getting there.

Events

The events section of the site is still under construction but here is a little bit on what it will cover.

We plan on highlighting some of the strange, cool, extreme, difficulty, enriching and just otherwise awesome events happening in the States and around the world. The kinds of stuff you have to see and so at least once in your lifetime.
